Were looking forward to expanding our menu and continuing to serve Owensboro and the surrounding communities. Really enjoyed everything about Gramps Coffee and Donuts! We stayed at a hotel nearby and I figured this could be a quick stop before we hit the road. The Spot is best for smoothies but Gramps takes the lead in coffee. This is the best place for coffee in Owensboro. Gramps Coffee and Doughnuts is a must visit. Owensboro Hotels, Motels & Accommodations. We went for a mixed box of six donuts and tried them all. The Owensboro center is around 1 mile south of Owensboro Area Museum Science and 1 mile south of Smothers Park. Start your morning at Gramps Cofee & Donuts, located in the heart of downtown Owensboro, in a gorgeous historic building thats been updated to have a chill. We tried the black coffee and cold brew with cream and both were outstanding. These donuts are amazing!! We got snickerdoodle, yeast, winter wonderland (cannot recall what it is, but it is tasty!), and strawberry! Photo shows partial donuts remaining! The coffee was. On my visit they had eight offerings, all with cute names.
